Autumn meeting 2025 of the radiation therapy section of SLD

26th September, in the building of the Serbian Medical Society, SLD (19 George Washington Street, Belgrade) AROS and Radiation therapy section of SLD have help the regular meeting. The topic of the seminar was “Radiotherapy for the treatment of benign diseases”.
The Seminar was accredited: a-1-1627/25 with 4 credits – for doctors, nurses, technicians, radiologists, medical physicists.
The chief experts demonstrated their experience:
- Radiation therapy of benign intracranial tumors, Dr Snježana Bogićević
- The role of orthovoltage radiation therapy in the treatment of benign diseases of the locomotor system, Dr Marko Jovanović
- Brachytherapy in the treatment of keloids, asist. Predrag Petrašinović Banđur
- Radiotherapy treatment of skin diseases, asist. Dr Marko Bojović
- Experience of the Center for Radiation Oncology UKC Kragujevac in radiotherapy treatment of benign conditions, asist. Dr Marko Bojović
- Indications and application of radiotherapy treatment of benign diseases, Dr Jovana Stojadinović.
At the end of the presentations, experts discussed important issues of quality of treatment, reimbursement and patient flow. Leading physicians have agreed that the use of radiation therapy is justified as supportive treatment of benign diseases, as it shows good long-term results and improves patients ‘ quality of life.
The next meeting will be held in the spring.
